"If none of us ever read a book that was 'dangerous,' had a friend who was 'different' or joined an organization that advocated 'change,' we would all be just the kind of people Joe McCarthy wants. Whose fault is that? Not really [McCarthy's]. He didn't create this situation of fear. He merely exploited it, and rather successfully."

—Edward R (oscoe) Murrow (1908-65) American news anchor, broadcast journalist

November Lollapalooza in North Powder

The November Lollapalooza in North Powder will be on Friday Nov. 9th at 4:30 pm.

Lollapaloozas are a great library event for young and young-at-heart.  Come enjoy the read-alouds, arts and crafts activities, music and more! November's focus will be on the many different cultures of Native Americans!

As part of the Lollaplooza program, books featured during the event are donated to the North Powder library by the Union County Library District Project.

The Lollapalooza events are funded by a Library Services Technology Act grant from the Oregon State Library.  Lollapaloozas are a service demonstration of the proposed library district for Union County.
