Your Library Card
Getting a card, renewing materials, placing holds, etc.
Who can get a card
Anyone can get a card as long as they bring in two pieces of identification. These may include a picture id, a piece of mail with your current address, etc...
Borrowing Limits
After receiving your library card, a patron may check out 3 books the first visit, and up to 20 items after that. This may include books, audio tapes, or videos.
Placing Holds
Our staff will be happy to place items on hold for you via telephone or in person. If you choose, you may place an item on hold online by yourself, but for items that are not from our library, our staff requests that you let us help you with that process. Interlibrary loans are free of charge for those items in our system, but for those not found in our system, there is a $3.00/item charge.
Renewing Your Borrowed Items
Patrons may renew their materials by calling the library at 541-962-1339/1335, or online with their library barcode and a password that they create. The web address is ci.lagrande.or.us/dept_library.cfm.
Library Fines
Patrons will be fines $.10/day per item for the first 10 days and $.20/day per item after that. There is a $5.00 maximum fine per book.
